Sperlari

Founded in 1836, Sperlari is a long-established Italian company and one of the oldest Torrone producers in the world. In Italy, Sperlari is the market leader in seasonal products such as Torrone, Torroncini, Panettone and Pandoro, as well as sugar-free candies and sweeteners. With up to 50% nuts in some of its torroncini products, Sperlari has been setting the standard for over 150 years. In addition to the traditional Sperlari brand, the portfolio also includes the popular sugar-free Dietor and Dietorelle ranges as well as Galatine milk candies and Saila liquorice candies.

Sperlari employs around 400 people at four production sites and has a net annual turnover in excess of EUR 100 million.

At the end of June 2021, Sperlari acquired a majority stake (75%) in Piedmontese company Dulcioliva, a company with extensive experience in the production of chocolate specialities such as gianduotti, truffles and other pralines. Dulcioliva is the market leader in the local speciality pralines called “Cuneesi”.

In August 2022, Sperlari laid the foundations for further expanding its leading position in the seasonal business by acquiring the operating business of Paluani S.p.A., the historic panettone maker based in Verona.
